The Dysart was formerly known as the Dysart Arms pub,  not only have they changed their name, but it is no longer called a pub but a restaurant. Opposite the restaurant is the scenic Richmond park, and there is a beautiful garden surrounding the restaurant itself. Serving no pub food, but Modern British food (with some Asian influences). The Head chef, was trained in Michelin star restaurants in Dublin, France, Sydney and New York.

The food was served beautifully but nothing really stood out.  I however loved the free appetisers they served us, they were so delicate and innovative. however failed to amaze me.  I loved my starter, which was the grilled pigeon with quail egg, The pigeon was beautifully cooked, was moist and tender.  The dessert was average, although it was part of the set meal, so cannot complain. i wouldn’t bother ordering coffee again, as it did not come with the set lunch.

Verdict

A lot of  thoughts has been put into the food. Every dish has a great combination of ingredients and taste, and beautifully displayed, even though the setting of the restaurant is very casual and laid back.  Nothing is too pretentious. we had a baby/ toddler with us, and she made lots of mess on the floor. They were very helpful and did not mind to have us in, and to clean up our mess.  They even have a baby changing room, so this is a great restaurant if you have children that does great food and with great ambiance.  I can’t rave on more about this restaurant. We stayed till 4pm and they did not seem to mind, however you know secretly they wanted us to leave, as we were the only people left.

Would I go back again? I would love to
