The Attendant  is situated downstairs of what used to be the toilets for gentlemen back in the Victorian times.  It took two years to plan, restore and clean the old toilets of course, and transformed it to an unique underground coffee shop.  You might have walked passed it thinking the entrance is like any other underground station, however upon walking down, you will find the original urinals used as the coffee tables.  A well known unique coffee shop in London.

Recommendation

  • All coffee
  • Soup (they smelt really good)

Verdict

I love The Attendant although it took me over 9 months to pay my first visit. However, I drank two cups of coffee on my first time there as their coffee was delicious.  The average time for waiting for a cup of coffee is around 10-15 minutes, longer than your usual coffee place, however it is worth the wait.  I love how the barista takes his time and you can tell he loves his job.  Every cup of coffee is made from heart and used the best coffee beans.  Their coffee was sop good I ended up buying two bags of their grounded coffee bean. They smelt so good, and I cannot wait to have a cup of A class coffee at home.

What attracted me to come in first place was their urinals of course. I first read it in a a magazine, most unique coffee shop in the world.  The exterior makes you think it is an entrance to an underground station, then the inside is renovated from a former gents toilet.  They kept the original porcelain urinals (they have obviously cleaned and disinfected it) now using it as tables. So for you, don’t even try to use it any else than a a table. I love it here

Would I go back again? Yes, i will again and again
