A quick glance at today’s itinerary
We checked out of our hotel at 10am and had a coffee at the cafe right next to the hotel to burn some time. We have booked a restaurant at one of Kobe’s best teppanyaki restaurant at 12pm, and we were really excited to try this place and it was definitely not disappointing.

Kobe was too pretty to leave without a proper visiting. We have only explored the neigbourhood around our hotel so we decided to drive to Kobe Harborland where it is near the waterfront. I didn’t know what to expect but it was definitely worth a few hours of my time. It is definitely not as packed with tourists as Osaka so it was definitely more enjoyable walking around.

We had to leave Kobe Harborland around 4pm so we can make it to Osaka before it gets dark. The ride back to Osaka was only an hour with traffic which wasn’t too bad. However checking in and finding the car park was a long process.
After a short rest, we decided to do some last minute shopping at downtown Osaka.
There are many many shops in Namba and Dotonburi, you can spend atleast three days here shopping. As I have been Osaka for a good four times, I know what i want and where to buy. I love going to Tutu-anna and buying lots of socks. There warm fluffy socks for winter is the best, they are so soft even washing them for 10 times. i wear them all day long in UK and they are still soft. It is 1000 jpy for any three pairs of socks and over 3000 jpy you can do tax refund in store. Love it!
I always buy a cheesecake from Rikuro Ojisan no Mise and go back to Hong Kong and share it with family. The cheesecake is so fluffy and soft, it melts in your mouth like marshmallow. There are raisins at the bottom which some people don’t like but i would just simple slice off the bottom. You will always see a queue at Rikuro Ojisan no Mise, however there are always fresh cheesecake coming out from the oven so the wait isn’t long.
Another cheesecake I would buy is PABLO’s Cheese Tarts, they are the best when straight out from the oven. The centre is slightly runny but that is their signature. I love it but do not buy it anymore as they have expanded in Hong Kong too now.
I always visit Don Quijote, not just the branch in Osaka but everywhere in Japan. Some are 24 hours and some are late night openings which I love. I can finish eating and go there when all the other shops are closed. The best is they sell everything from snacks to makeup to electronics to phone cases and wine. I can even get tax refund here!
After searching for food, we got lured into this new place for dinner.
