Check In Date
Air BnB – Condo with ocean view
Checking In was quick and smooth despite we were late for two hours. The owner, Eiji does not live in Ishigaki, but he has left a note to his partner who will come and meet us. His partner spoke great English and greeted us at the front of the condo. He quickly showed us around the condo and told us about the recycling bins and keys. However he seems really rushed in showing us around, we mostly checked out what we need to in the booklet ourselves.
The living room was great, it was the size of normal flats in Hong Kong. The living room is attached to the open kitchen which was great, meant we could cook and chat at same time. The TV worked really well, we even connected our HDMI cable to it so we can play films from our laptop. The sofa was comfortable, we even joked we can sleep on the sofa. Lots of room to dry your laundry in the living room, drying rack is provided and lots of clothes hanger. The extra pillow and duvet was also available in the living room.
The bathroom and toilet are in two separate room, right opposite each other. I loved the bathroom, it even had a large washing machine. The bathroom had an electronic bathtub where you can a massage with it, I unfortunately did not get to try it, although I wish I did. Towels, bathroom amenities are provided except toothbrushes and toothpaste. Toto toilet is a must in japan, it’s great for a cold winter day when the toilet seat can be warmed up.
It was an open kitchen with lots of amenities. Cutlery were all provided, only thing missing was oil which we had to buy. Microwave, rice cooker and a mini oven is also available so we made our breakfast every morning.
We couldn’t have enough of the view, walking up every morning to this was amazing. Blue sky and the blue sea every morning, we had our coffees outside, wished we had spent more time admiring this beautiful scenery. The sea was calm most of the time.
There were two bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds and the other was one single bed. The bedrooms were least likeable, it had nothing but the beds and a wardrobe. The beds were really uncomfortable, being too soft. The pillows weren’t exactly comfortable either and made so much noise.
We were told in advanced by Eiji, the host that we cannot park downstairs by the condo as they are for residents only. He gave us a map, to park our car outside an abandoned shop. We had no problems parking there, no troubles at all.

I am so glad we found this apartment as other apartments with sea view were too expensive or too far away. This was perfect! two bedrooms for four people and at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed this clean apartment with the sea view and wished we had stay longer or spent more time here. This is truly a hidden gem, I would love to come back here next time. I would recommend this condo to everyone who is going to Ishigaki, please find the link below.
Would I go back again? Yes, definitely
