This is the best cake EVER!

It has become my favourite cake and best cake I have ever taste! You may feel i am exaggerating, however i am not lying!

It’s the only cake I do not feel guilty for having two slices in one day, nor eating it for three consecutive days.  The cake is light, fresh and not even sweet, yet tasty.  With a slice of watermelon (yes WATERMELON, a real slice of fruit) in between the two layers of almond dacquoise, no cakes can be as healthy as this.  The top layer of the cake was even more amazing, consisting fresh strawberries, pistachios and dried rose petals. You can’t believe how good those rose petals smells, and tasted so damn good with the strawberries. I have never been so happy eating flowers!

Matcha (Green Tea) Madeleine – 7/10

Matcha (Green Tea) Madeleine

This green tea madelaine caught my eyes at the counter, thought might as well get it too, a few more calories wouldn’t kill right? If I had the madelaine before the having the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, I would have loved it more, however compared to the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, this was a little of a let down. the madelaine was buttery, dense and bit too greasy.  Strong matcha taste and a little too sweet.

You will see the cafe as soon as you come up the elevator. It is at the front of the book shop, Books Kinokuniya, and trust me, you will see a queue. To bet the queue you must come earlier, and on the weekend you must queue. queuing for the cakes is easy however waiting for a seat is hard.  To eat in, of course you must have a seat, so please try to get a seat before queuing up for the cakes or you will end up eating it standing up.

There are only few tables and seating, there is also a coffee bar at the bar where you can get some water for yourself. it can get very crowdy at the cafe and the bookshop.
