Two lunch sets – 2 courses $238/ 3 courses $288
- La Tomate – Heirloom tomato salad, sumac, burrata and Banyuls vinaigrette
- La Courgette – Grilled courgette salad, smoked duck breast, lemon, Parmesan and mint
- Le Bar de Ligne (Seabass, originally Le Cabillaud – Cod) – Roasted over a Provence ratatouille et vierge tomato sauce.
- L’echine – Sagabuta pork collar, bak choy
- La Fraise – Mara des bois strawberries, cinnamon crumble, Madagascar vanilla ice cream
- Les Trois Chocolate – Jivara and white chocolate ganache, cocoa streusel and cocoa nibs tuile
Warm sour bread was served with seasalt butter. The butter was definately high quality, it was rich and soft, and the best as it was served room temperature so no difficulties for spreading a generous layer on the bread. Bread came warm, it was soft and warm with a chewy crust. Couldn’t have enough of the bread with pure heaven butter.
La Tomate – Heirloom tomato salad, sumac, burrata and Banyuls vinaigrette
La Courgette – Grilled courgette salad, smoked duck breast, lemon, Parmesan and mint
The presentation of the tomato salad was rather bland and too simple, did not attract my tastebuds at all. However, the grilled courgette salad looked really appetizing with the vibrant mix of colours. A mouthful of courgette with the duck breast was absolutely refreshing and tasty with the mint. The burrata in the tomato salad was creamy and soft, if only the plate comes with a bigger piece
Le Bar de Ligne – Roasted Seabass with ratatouille and tomato sauce
L’echine – Sagabuta pork collar with bak choy
The lunch menu set has two meat and one vegetarian options, we of course chose the two main with meat. I must say the pork collar with pak choy was a real let down, starting from presentation it was bland and boring. The two little piece of the pork collar was far too little and the texture was tough and dry. The pak choy was fresh but overall as a dish, it didn’t really work well as a team, not my type of dish. However the crispy seabass was far better than the pork collar. The seabass was pan fried till crispy and can taste the freshness. The ratatouille was simply just roasted vegetables below the seabass. I cannot say this is the best Seabass I have ever had, but compared to the other, this was certainly above average.
La Fraise – Mara des bois strawberries, cinnamon crumble, Madagascar vanilla ice cream
Les Trois Chocolate- Jivara and white chocolate ganache, cocoa streusel and cocoa nibs tuile
The two desserts were definitely the highlight of the whole lunch, the delicious desserts surely made up for the disappointing main course. I liked both the desserts just as much. La Fraise was definitely more freshing, with the great combinations -fresh strawberries, crispy crumble and creamy vanilla ice cream. Each spoonful was delightful as it looks. The presentation for Les Trois Chocolate wasn’t as elegant as La Fraise, however it tasted just as good in its own way. Two scoops of milky chocolate ice cream, with the crunchiness of the chocolate ganache. the richness of the chocolate made me very warm and content.
Petite fours (Included in the lunch sets)
I wasn’t expecting anything after the desserts, so this came as a bonus, and I was super full from my three course lunch already. However I made room for these little gems. They were surely petite, although they were chocolate, they didn’t over indulge me after the chocolate dessert I had before. The petite Fours was served with tea or coffee (which I had not taken pictures of)
Interior & Vibe
I cannot express how much I adore and worship the interior of this restaurant. It felt like I entered ina room of Disneyland, or felt like I was Alice in the Wonderland, it was just so fun and full of surprises. Every corner of the dining room brought me surprises. I was facing the space invaders wall throughout the lunch meal, and it made me feel like I was back in the 90s again. I couldn’t stop looking at Kate Moss’s face on the wall art by French artist, Mr Brainwash, full of vibrant colours. The massive Kaw figure as you enter through to the dining area catches everybody’s attention. I personally admired the fierce tiger the most, it makes such a big impact. The use of different colours, made it so captivating, and I was addicted to taking snaps of it, it’s ever so photogenic.
Bar and lounge area
You will walk pass the bar and lounge area to arrive at the dining room, or you will need to pass by before you head up the stairs. there are sofa seats and bar seats by the bar. It looks ever so comfy with bookshelves at the back. What really catches your eyes are the paintings of the three girls on the wall. One is an asian girl, when is the western girl, the middle girl I was told is the mixture. When you see the Asian girl, she really looks like the TVB actress, Charmaine Sheh. I love this cozy bar area which is opened at night. We were told there is one precious art work on the wall that cost a few millions, it was indeed interesting.
We had walked pass the entrance several times, not the typical entrance to a restaurant. When we arrived, the cool looking security guard was outside, making it even more exquisite. The entrance was very unique, with artwork all over. Even the stairs are printed with artwork, welcoming you to this magical place.
Service was excellent from the second we stepped in. Service was fast and they were all very well mannered. Each dish was introduced by our waiter who patiencely answered all my questions and refilled our water glasses. They even waited around for me to finish taking pictures and taking me around the bar area.

The food was a big disappointment, however the interior and art of the restaurant really does make up for it, and a great experience.
