Both the starters were delicious and delicately made.  The fried spring rolls were so small and delicate yet filled with well seasoned fillings.  Steamed rice paper rolls are my all time favourite and they did a great job here with the fried shallots and garlic on top.

I have had this dish in Vietnamese restaurant but  the ones here really blows your mind.  Wok-fried Angus beef tenderloin with tomatoes, onions and black pepper one of the highlights of the night. The beef was succulent and juicy, this is a must order dish.

Although the chicken wasn’t as popular as the beef, it was still very well roasted.  The skin was crispy and covered with honey, meat was tender and juicy. Nobody appreciates dry chicken, but this was perfectly cooked with this fried rice cakes.

This salad was my least favourite.  I didn’t like the bland taste of the lotus root and the texture was strange. i prefer my papaya salad more.

The wok-fried flat rice noodle with sliced Angus beef was the crème de la crème of the whole meal.  And I want to say, this was my best fried beef with noodles EVER. I swear it, it was so delicious. All five of us were fighting over it so we had to order a second plate. That was how good it was, I am not kidding, it is a must!

Ambience & Interior

The restaurant is very big for Hong Kong standard with big tables which is ver family friendly.  This isn’t your normal Viet pho fix place, this is a proper restaurant where you can have some privacy and not rushed to leave.

  I loved An Nam.  Every dish was over my expectations and every dish was so elegantly made.  Before I went to An Nam,  I would never spend so much on Vietnamese food before having it at An Nam, this was a unforgettable experience, I don’t think I can ever go back to just pho for Vietnamese food ever.  However, it is on a pricier side and cannot have it everyday.

2016 Update

They have opened up another two branches in New Territories and Kowloon.  The branch in New Territories is more casual and serve similar menu, but the quality doesn’t match the Causeway Bay’s branch. So i would recommend you to visit the Causeway Bay branch
